Janae’ Hancock joins the WTOK family from Denver, Colorado where she was born and raised. She graduated from Colorado State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Media Communication.

Over the years, Janae’ has realized the importance of utilizing her voice —she has facilitated leadership workshops throughout Denver. Janae’ has gained professional experience working for Denver International Airport as the Communications and Marketing Intern, the Denver Broncos as the Media Relations Intern and for Collegian Television 11 as the live reporter and news anchor. She’s also an affiliate of the Colorado Association of Black Journalists (CABJ) and National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).

Janae has already interviewed several important contemporaries and historic luminaries including the oldest and youngest members of the globally acclaimed Little Rock Nine, Holocaust survivor and step-sister to Anne Frank, members from the famed Exonerated Five, and one of the survivors from the Aurora theater mass shooting.

Janae' produces and anchors Good Morning Meridian Monday-Friday and also reports.

When she’s not working, Janae’ enjoys traveling, yoga, cheering on the Denver Broncos and spending time with friends and family. Janae enjoys learning about the history, culture and people of East Mississippi and West Alabama!
